DBTG Meetings

By tradition the International Dry Bulk Terminals Group organises two main meetings each year:

DBTG Technical and Operations Seminar

Thistle Hotel, Brighton – 29th–30th March 2012

The 2012 Technical and Operations Seminar of the International Dry Bulk Terminals Group (DBTG) will take place at the Thistle Hotel, Brighton, UK

In view of the current industry focus on cargo liquefaction and the handling of wet cargoes the meeting will commence on the afternoon of Thursday 29th March with a roundtable discussion for interested parties to review developments at the International Maritime Organization, and to consider the issues from a practical viewpoint, especially with regard to shoreside materials handling.

Following the afternoon discussion, and in line with DBTG tradition, the Mid Term meeting will formally commence with a Welcome Reception and the DBTG Dinner for Members and Guests at the Thistle.

Business Sessions will take place at the Thistle on Friday 30th March and focus on developments in the DBTG work programme but with special emphasis on Environmental Matters, Safety and Operational Innovations.

DBTG meetings are unique and are open only to Group Members, their guests and other dry bulk terminal operators.

Discussions are confidential to allow participants to freely exchange their concerns, ideas, experience and expertise on important, sometimes sensitive, operational matters.
