DBTG Technical and Operations Seminar

The 2010 Technical and Operations Seminar of the International Dry Bulk Terminals Group (DBTG) will take place at the Radisson Blu Hotel in the old harbour district of Marseille.
In a break from the traditional format of DBTGs so-called Mid-Term Meeting this event will commence on Thursday 25th March with a buffet lunch at the Radisson followed by a visit to the bulk handling facilities of the ArcelorMittal steelworks at Fos sur Mer and the general bulk handling terminal nearby; this to be organised, in conjunction with the Port of Marseille, by DBTG Member Host, ATIC Services.
The Port itself will generously host a special dinner and harbour tour for Group Members and Guests on Thursday evening aboard its yacht.
Business sessions will take place at the Radisson on Friday 26th March.
The meeting will focus on developments in the DBTG work programme and with particular emphasis on:
- Materials handling equipment performance, structural integrity and reliability
- Technical innovation, Safety and environmental case studies
- PLUS # A dry bulk trades and shipping outlook
DBTG meetings are unique and are open only to Group Members, their guests and other dry bulk terminal operators.
Discussions are confidential to allow participants to freely exchange their concerns, ideas, experience and expertise on important, sometimes sensitive, operational matters.
